Job description:
Our team is looking to recruit a candidate with long term prospects who can provide Medical administrative/Front desk support to ensure efficient office operations.
- Answers phone calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel, addressing patient needs
- Schedule patients and update information in practice management and electronic medical record programs.
- Competency in Microsoft office, word and excel.
- Insurance verification
- Confirming patient appointments
- Communicate with patient information regarding appointments and tests.
- Confirm patient appointments by phone calls and secure text messaging
- Obtain authorizations and referrals
- Checking insurance verification
- Prepare documents for the billing agency.
- Scanning and importing records into a server and EMR
- Works closely with other administrative staff and supports other colleagues as needed.
- Works with sensitive information to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
- Schedule tests, labs and imaging
- Presents a positive and professional image for the organization
- Bilingual, English and Spanish is a must
- A team player with self-initiative.
- Experience in pediatrics and medical office operations is welcome and preferred.
