The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and test firmware for new manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and debug existing embedded systems on production lines.
- Design and implement hardware interfaces for sensors and actuators.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers on system integration.
- Optimize embedded software for performance, reliability, and power consumption.
- Perform root cause analysis on embedded system failures and implement corrective actions.
- Document design specifications, test plans, and validation reports for embedded systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for microcontroller programming and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
- Demonstrated ability in hardware-software integration and debugging for production systems.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic microcontroller-based systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
- Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot complex hardware/software interactions in a production environment.
- Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508) and their application in embedded systems.
