Job DescriptionTeach core CACREP courses in the Masters and Ph.D programs. Advise Master and Ph.D students. Supervise practicum and internship students. Direct dissertations. Submit grants. Engage in scholarly inquiry. University and professional service. This is for a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor to coordinate the School Counseling Program. Anticipated start date will be August 2026. This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Teach the school counseling courses.
- Teach the core CACREP core classes at masters and doctoral level.
- Assist in coordinating school counseling practicum and internship sites.
- Consult with local and regional school districts on pupil personnel issues.
- Ensure program quality via accreditation and certification.
- Engage in scholarly productivity.
- Provide advisement at the masters and doctoral level.
- Doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program earned no later than August 2026.
- Teaching and supervision experience.
- Evidence for scholarly productivity.
- Eligible for the Licensed Professional Counselor credential in Idaho.
- Publication in the ACA family of journals relevant to school counseling.
- Involvement in national counseling associations, and those directly applicable to school counseling.
- Successful grant procurement.
- Experience as a school counseling program coordinator.
