We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant or Medical Technician to join our team at our Baton Rouge, LA site. This is a full time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with an on‑call after hours rotation one week per month.

Position Responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, efficiency in all tasks and attention to detail
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information.
  • Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone.
  • Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results.
  • Has consistently demonstrated service‑oriented performance.
  • Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC.
Duties
  • Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Performs Respirator Fit testing.
  • Performs Pulmonary Function Test.
  • Obtains basic history, and medical information, and takes vital signs.
  • Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols.
  • Performs collection of vital signs, performs visual acuity and color testing.
  • Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain‑of‑custody requirements.
  • Performs safe venipuncture.
  • Performs urine dipstick testing.
  • Performs 12‑lead EKGs.
  • Performs audiometric screening.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Position Qualifications
  • Pass Background Check
  • Pass Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees.
