Laboratory Assistant

Job Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing biological specimens. Assist in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aid in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensure the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens and related supplies in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
• Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of laboratory data
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall laboratory operations

Job Levels and Compensation

• Laboratory Assistant – No certification or previous experience required ($16.00–25.50)
• Senior Laboratory Assistant – Requires active phlebotomy certification ($17.00–26.50)
• Pathology Technician – Bachelor's degree required in biology or related subject ($23.50–36.00)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory‑related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Location & Schedule

Bismarck Clinic, 222 N 7th St, Bismarck, ND 58501, USA. Full‑time, 36.00 weekly hours, 8‑hour day shift (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.), every 3rd weekend rotation. Shift: 8 Hours – Day Shifts.
