Purpose Statement
Under the direction of the Director of Finance and Human Resources, the State and Federal Programs Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and compliance of the District’s State and Federal Programs. The Coordinator collects data and completes applications and reporting for all state and federal funding sources.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Disseminate information regarding ELL and special programs to staff, students, parents, and the community.
- Complete all required reports pertaining to federal categorical programs.
- Maintain and manage grant applications, compliance, and assist with audits (e.g., Title I, LAP, Highly Capable, TBIP, Migrant, Child Nutrition, etc.).
- Provide direction to the school improvement activities of the district.
- Assist building principal and/or administrator in the implementation and evaluation of State and Federal programs, as well as coordinate the school improvement process and instructional activities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance to ensure that budgeting and expenditures align with State/Federal requirements and that the District is in compliance.
- Write grants and related proposals to obtain funding to support district educational needs.
- Maintain knowledge of changing state and federal rules and regulations.
- Work with the Family Engagement Coordinator to plan monthly family nights and quarterly PAC meetings.
- Enter/exit TBIP students into the TBIP program.
- Assist students who need supplies and/or clothing using InvestEd/Lions Club dollars.
- Serve as McKinney Vento and Foster Care Coordinator.
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Skyward products, CEDARS, EDS, and EGMS.
- Bilingual (Spanish) speaking.
- Understanding of public education and OSPI.
- Experience with state and federal audit processes.
- Community partnership experience with Page Ahead, Lions Club, Invest Ed, La Salle.
