Position OverviewWe are seeking a Lab Technician IV to support system-level validation and testing of advanced storage products within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role focuses on hands-on lab work, including hardware validation, scripting, debugging, and failure analysis.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with storage systems, embedded technologies, and industry-standard interfaces. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to execute test plans, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality and performance.
This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys deep technical problem-solving, working with lab equipment, and driving issues to resolution in a team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform storage validation testing using hardware infrastructure and tools (oscilloscopes, analyzers, storage testers)
- Develop, execute, and debug eSSD testing scripts using Python and internal frameworks
- Create and manage Jira tickets and generate detailed test reports
- Maintain lab infrastructure, including equipment inventory, OS/software installations, and licensing
- Conduct first-level failure analysis and troubleshoot test setup issues
- Support system-level debugging and assist engineering teams in issue resolution
- Strong understanding of:
- Storage systems and environments
- Computer architecture and system-level behavior
- Embedded systems fundamentals
- Firmware concepts
- Experience with industry protocols such as:
- JTAG debugging tools
- Lab equipment such as oscilloscopes (DSOs), logic analyzers, protocol analyzers
- Proficiency in:
- Python scripting
- Ability to analyze complex issues and drive them to resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in storage or SSD validation environments
- Familiarity with internally developed testing tools/frameworks
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with a proactive approach

- Technical Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience)
