We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery used in primarily forestry but also in construction, excavation, and site development projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Most jobsites will be anywhere from 1 hour to 13 hours of driving from Cedar City, UT. Most projects typically run 30 - 90 days.
ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and backhoes in a safe and efficient manner
Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks before and after use
Interpret project plans, maps, and to execute tasks accurately
Load and move materials including soil, gravel, and debris
Work collaboratively with site supervisors, engineers, and other team members
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Identify and report mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly
Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required
Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or a related field
Valid Drivers License.
Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations
Ability to read and interpret maps.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
Good communication and teamwork skills
Mechanic skills are a plus and can lead to more pay.

Work truck will be provided.
2 weeks paid time off per year after 90 day probationary period.
