Responsibilities

The role is a full‑time Product Owner / Systems Engineer supporting USSTRATCOM software teams that develop Planning and Command and Control (C2) capabilities within the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES) in a DevSecOps environment. The engineer will help create modern Web‑based Java mission systems for the Nuclear community, work with an agile team to define stories and backlog items based on interactions with USSTRATCOM mission stakeholders, and participate in the full product development cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience eliciting requirements from mission stakeholders.
• Experience presenting designs and plans to mission stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate technical and schedule trade‑offs.
• Agile Scrum experience with work assignment and de‑composition.
• Experience in a Software Team Environment.
• Must be a US Citizen – government security clearance required.

Desired Skills

• Agile experience using Atlassian Tools.
• Usage of MBSE / Modeling Tools (Cameo and SysML preferred).
• USSTRATCOM mission insight (Intel, Planning, or C2).
• Engineering experience with AFNWC SMPES, MPAS, NPES Systems.

Security Clearance

Top Secret clearance required. Position requires a government security clearance; applicant must be a US Citizen.
