Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period all applicants will be considered equally.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
This individual is responsible for preventive maintenance procedures on clinical and certain non-clinical equipment. Also electrical safety; performs minor repairs on equipment. Maintains records and inventory as required. Checks in and inventory new equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. High School Diploma
2. Must possess valid New York State drivers license and be insurable.
3. Good mechanical ability
4. Strong organizational skills.
5. Experience with medical equipment electronics and electromechanical devices preferred.
6. Experience with performing an electrical safety analysis trouble shooting calibrations and preventive maintenance on clinical equipment required.
7. Experience with performing equipment acceptance testing required.
8. Experience with performing minor repairs on electrical equipment required.
9. Experience with electronic inventory control logs and maintenance record keeping preferred.
10. Experience with writing preventive maintenance procedures on equipment preferred.
As applicable the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
