Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Ripon, Wisconsin (Onsite)

Shift: 1st Shift – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:00 PM (additional days as needed)

Experience Level: Mid-Level (5+ years experience preferred)

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 per year + benefits

Relocation Assistance: Available

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and support a high-performance production team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who prioritizes safety, continuous improvement, and team development while ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently met.

ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations
  • Supervise daily activities within the production area to meet production schedules and quality standards
  • Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and optimize manpower and equipment utilization
  • Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
  • Ensure on‑time delivery and adherence to performance targets
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture
  • Conduct safety audits and investigations of incidents or near‑misses
  • Ensure employees follow PPE requirements and safety procedures
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and mentor operators and technicians
  • Support employee development, training, and cross‑training initiatives
  • Address attendance, conduct, and employee relations matters
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive team environment
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in and lead initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S
  • Analyze downtime, scrap, and bottlenecks and implement improvements
  • Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering teams
Reporting & Communication
  • Maintain accurate production, safety, and quality records
  • Communicate KPIs and operational updates to management
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to resolve production issues
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred
  • Experience supervising teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Experience in stamping press or heavy manufacturing environments is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Work Environment
  • Fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing setting
  • Standing, bending, and lifting may be required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
