As a member of the Strategic Finance team you will serve as a trusted finance business partner in your area(s) of support, providing financial guidance and support; building budgets, forecasts, conducting variance analysis and reporting; preparing financial analysis such as cost‑benefit, return on investment and capital resource analysis for new business opportunities, proposals, contracts or product development; supporting cost savings and process improvement efforts; and providing financial governance and oversight—all in service of creating an economically sustainable health care system.
Qualifications- Strategic Finance Analyst: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or statistics. CPA, CMA, MBA, or ASA preferred. Health insurance experience preferred. 5–7 years of experience (or equivalent combination).

- Working knowledge of applicable statutes, policies and procedures in a specific functional area.
- Readily identifies and effectively articulates issues and alternatives.
- Demonstrated success with repeated solid decision‑making.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to extract and articulate key business issues in a manner that is meaningful to the audience.
- Strong understanding of business principles, theories and concepts across multiple business areas (e.g., operations, HR, marketing, health care services).
- Proven track record in providing solid consultation, education and influence to the business.
This position combines traditional financial planning and budgeting (FP&A) with business case and ad‑hoc analysis, supporting the Claims and Payment Integrity areas of the Health Plan Operations division. You will also be involved in the BluePath program, which integrates Cost Stewardship and Payment Integrity programs into a shared savings workflow.
Responsibilities- Deliver highly effective presentations to a group or team.
- Develop financial models and analysis using advanced analytical techniques and complex financial systems, providing business with solid alternatives to issues.
- Plan, organize, schedule, coordinate and monitor a variety of work streams.
- Provide training or consulting expertise to other departments, analysts and external stakeholders.
- Identify, raise and effectively articulate issues with multi‑business area or cross‑functional impacts; provide informal leadership if needed, monitor and improve unit workflow/processes.
- Experience with AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity and decision‑making in professional settings highly desired.

The expected hiring range for a Strategic Finance Analyst is $84,200.00 – $113,900.00, depending on skills, experience, education and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target is 10%. The full salary range is $79,000.00 – $129,000.00.
The expected hiring range for a Strategic Finance Analyst Sr is $101,200.00 – $136,900.00, depending on skills, experience, education and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target is 15%. The full salary range is $95,000.00 – $155,000.00.
