Description

The Manager, Customer Sales–South Region will oversee and develop TransLoop’s Nashville, Fort Lauderdale and Birmingham customers sales teams, train new sales hires, set sales goals, and execute strategies to drive new business while expanding relationships with existing clients. This role requires a strong background in freight brokerage sales, leadership experience, and the ability to motivate and mentor a high-performing team. This role will also be responsible for delivering training programs to educate and enhance the sales skills of customer-facing sales representatives, focusing on building strong customer relationships, product knowledge, and effective sales techniques to achieve sales targets, by identifying training needs, conducting skills assessments, and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship to improve overall customer sales performance.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop sales representatives at all levels, delivering ongoing performance feedback and supporting professional growth.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to review results, assess pipeline health, and refine sales strategies.
  • Observe sales interactions and provide timely coaching, feedback, and recommendations to improve effectiveness and close rates.
  • Establish, monitor, and consistently achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze sales metrics and performance data to evaluate team effectiveness and improve operational processes.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns proactively, delivering effective solutions to enhance service quality.
  • Design and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand the customer base.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen long‑term relationships with key customers, shippers, and carriers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and service agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Leverage CRM and TMS platforms to manage pipeline activity, track customer interactions, and forecast performance.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by developing relationships with prospective shippers and carriers.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing models, and competitive activity to optimize sales strategy and performance.
  • Cultivate a high‑energy, competitive, and collaborative sales culture that drives results.
  • Work closely with the Carrier Sales and Operations teams to ensure seamless freight execution and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Need
  • 5+ years of sales experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a sales management or team lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of freight brokerage operations, pricing strategies, and carrier networks.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team‑building skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and transportation management systems (TMS).
