Visitation School is seeking a part-time employee in our After-school Extended Day program. This is a 12-month position, including summer, with hours from approximately 2:30pm to 6:00pm on school days, and shifts on non-school days (i.e., holiday breaks, teacher in-service days, and during the summer). This position could also be open for short-call substitute employees as well.
Visitation is an independent Catholic day school with a culture permeated by Salesian Spirituality. We offer a unique combination of learning experiences with a co-ed Lower School (Montessori preschool through grade 5), an all-girls Middle School (grades 6-8), and an all-girls Upper School (grades 9-12). Qualifications / Ideal Candidate- Is a lifelong learner who is enthusiastic about the educational experiences of children during the out-of-school-time hours.
- Has demonstrated success in working with early childhood PreK and elementary age students as a teacher, instructor, camp counselor, or after-school staff member.
- Enjoys and has demonstrated success working with students, families, and colleagues in an educational environment.
- Has a strong desire to contribute actively to a community where students are known, loved, and challenged, and is excited to embrace the Visitation mission.
- Able to demonstrate and model the philosophies and spirit of Visitation School.
- Preference will be given to candidates with an associate or bachelor’s degree, Montessori training, and previous experience in an educational or camp setting.
