Champion RBCs Goal of Spiritual Formation & Biblical Education
- Owning the execution of the church’s vision to develop a culture of being disciples who make disciples as part of their spiritual formation.
- Teach the Bible systematically in ways that are understandable to the community and help them make application to how they live.
- Develop and create the speaker schedule with the support of the church elders.
- Lead the church's teaching team and personally teach approximately 50% of the year for Sunday Service(s).
- Spend time daily studying the Bible and Bible centered material to absorb relevant content for teaching.
- With the church Elders, create a teaching team that incorporates current seasoned teachers along with emerging gifted teachers. Create venues for workshopping sermons and to help all speakers to get better.
- Provide teaching at ministry closing programs, special programs: such as holiday services, funeral services, outreach, and other events.
- Open to teaching at other churches in the surrounding areas that align with RBC at the request of other churches.
- Hosts a small group (with the intention of equipping others to lead small groups)
- Assists the Elders in the coordination of small groups and discipleship programs. Sharing in the goal of participation to see 60%+ participation groups outside of Sunday Services.
- Coordination includes but is not limited to oversight of curriculum, attendance, structure, and quarterly leader check-in/training.
- Coordinate teaching training/guidelines for ministry leaders and staff, leading yearly meetings to provide ministry leaders with training for strategies on teaching the word of God within their ministries
- Meet individually with people to share the Gospel and disciple others
- Vet external speakers and provide/develop methods to evaluate speakers and provide feedback.
- Help lead (along with the elders and the leadership team) in the implementation and refinement of the Church’s mission and vision
- Support the Elders with the day-to-day management of part-time church staff through holding regular team meetings and check-ins with the team. Be available for ministry leader check-ins and advice on arising weekly issues and ensure physical needs are being addressed.
- Develop systems to create clear lines of communication between the church community, staff, trustees and the elders.
- Serve as an elder and member of the Church’s Leadership Team, if appointed to do so.
