This kitchen needs a leader, not a placeholder.
Oscar's Sports & Grill has been packed, thriving, and scratch-cooking for over 18 years. We've earned awards, been featured on America's Best Restaurants, and built one of the most loyal dining communities in Southeast Michigan. Now we need someone to take ownership of the kitchen — and we mean that literally.
This isn't a "keep the lights on" role. You'll have the freedom to shape your team, bring your own talent, and put your stamp on how we operate every single day.
What you'll earn
- $50,000 – $60,000 base salary
- Yearly performance bonuses + catering job bonuses

What you'll own
- All back-of-house operations in a high-volume, scratch kitchen
- Hiring, training, and building a team you're actually proud of (yes, bring your people)
- Food cost, labor, ordering, and inventory — the full picture
- Quality and consistency standards — and holding the line on them
- Menu execution and specials collaboration with ownership
What we need from you
- Real kitchen leadership experience: Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or an exceptional Lead Cook ready to step up
- Scratch cooking roots — if your last kitchen came from a bag, this isn't the fit
- The ability to lead from the front when it gets hot and fast
- A solid handle on food cost and inventory management
- ServSafe certified (or willing to get there)
- Reliable, hands-on, accountable — someone who shows up and follows through
