Pay Rate - $30 - $35/Hr on W2
Duration - 06 Months with possible extension
Overview
The Enterprise Data Office at Insurance is seeking a Business Data Analyst to support Corporate Data Services. This role focuses on delivering data analysis and business requirements support for high-visibility, business-critical applications.
You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data-driven solutions are accurately defined, developed, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements from stakeholders
Perform data analysis, data discovery, and data profiling using industry-standard tools
Develop and maintain data mapping documents and data design artifacts
Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements
Act as a bridge between business and IT teams
Support and participate in functional testing and validation
Lead and facilitate working sessions and stakeholder discussions
Perform root cause analysis on data-related issues and provide recommendations
Ensure clarity around project scope and requirements alignment
AI & Data Innovation
Leverage AI tools for data profiling, anomaly detection, and reporting
Design and refine AI prompts to generate insights and automate documentation
Translate business processes into AI-driven requirements
Collaborate with data engineers to enhance ETL workflows, metadata management, and data quality
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years of experience in business/data analysis (preferably in Insurance domain)
Strong experience with SQL and data querying tools (e.g., Snowflake, Toad, SAS, Python, R, Hive)
Experience working on data warehouse / reporting / analytics projects
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Strong skills in requirements gathering, data analysis, and stakeholder communication
Experience with AI tools and prompt design is a plus
