We’re building a new Strategic Pricing product team focused on transforming how pricing decisions are made—moving away from one-size-fits-all approaches to data-driven, targeted pricing at a granular level (e.g., customer, region, or segment). This is not a platform modernization or large-scale data migration effort. It’s a startup-like product team building a brand-new data foundation to power a net-new pricing capability.

Responsibilities
  • The Data Engineer will build and scale the data foundation behind Strategic Pricing—taking analytics POCs and turning them into a production-grade product with:
  • Real-time and batch data pipelines
  • Integrations with upstream and downstream systems
  • Automation and observability
  • Data powering a product UI used by commercial teams
  • A path toward AI-enabled decisioning and automated pricing
  • You’ll work closely with Product, Data Science, UX, and business stakeholders in a cross-functional product model, with real ownership over architecture and execution.
Screen-Level Must-Haves
  • Strong experience building cloud-based data pipelines (batch + streaming)
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala, plus SQL
  • Familiarity with modern data tooling (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt)
  • Experience with data lakes/lakehouses, data modeling, and performance optimization
  • Ability to work independently on complex engineering problems in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Product mindset with a focus on scalability, reliability, and usability
Nice to Have
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Exposure to pricing, optimization, or commercial analytics use cases
  • Experience working alongside data science teams or supporting ML workflows
Goal of the Role

Enable scalable, resilient data pipelines (real-time and batch) that support targeted pricing decisions today and lay the foundation for future AI-driven and automated pricing capabilities.
