Role: Half-Time Data Engineer (50%) at BetterCharge
We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join BetterCharge on a part-time basis (50%). This role involves designing and building a scalable analytical system, processing large volumes of data, implementing ETL and automation processes, and delivering end-to-end solutions to make data accessible, reliable, and actionable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build smart data pipelines and automation processes.
- Deliver end-to-end data solutions that meet business needs.
- Define data requirements and design system architectures.
- Develop and optimize data models.
- Implement business logic within data processes.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization.
Position Requirements:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data warehouse and BI solutions using industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience with analytical databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift), ETL tools, and data transformation tools (e.g., DBT, DataForm).
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Advanced SQL skills with expertise in query optimization and performance.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving ability and technical curiosity.
- Business understanding and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent team player with outstanding communication skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Self-starter and autodidact, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- High proficiency in English.
