The Stucco/EIFS laborer will support the Stucco/EIFS team in constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures such as walls, foundations, and chimneys. This position involves a variety of physical tasks including mixing mortar, transporting materials, preparing surfaces, and assisting skilled plasters/finishers with the installation of paper, lath, casing control, joints, brown coats, and working with scaffolding. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction tools, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow safety protocols on construction sites. The role is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Stucco, EIFS, and Fluid Applied WRB’s.
  • Prepare surfaces for stucco/EIFS applications by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring proper adhesion.
  • Assist in the preparation and application of stucco/EIFS materials to surfaces.
  • Assist in mixing and apply stucco/EIFS materials to interior and exterior walls.
  • Stocking and inventory material.
  • Assist in applying coats of Stucco or EIFS to walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings, using trowels, brushes, or spray guns.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintain quality control during the stucco application process.
  • Safety Compliance: Follows all safety protocols, procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Maintains awareness of safety standards and consistently applies best practices in daily operations
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing stucco surfaces.
  • Assist with installing lath to provide a base for stucco application.
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in stucco work.
  • Clean job sites daily.
  • Provide support to other team members as needed
  • Assemble temporary scaffolding equipment or structures
  • Mark reference points on construction materials.
  • Assist in installing insulation and Z-furring material.
  • Develop understanding of ASTM standards
  • Tools required: utility knife, hammer, wrench, pliers and a trowel. You must also be willing to acquire additional tools as needed.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned by the manager to support team operations and project needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding and being open to learning new ways of working procedures.
  • Proven experience as a Stucco or EIFS work or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of various stucco/EIFS application techniques and materials.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for travel to job sites.
  • Certification in OSHA safety training is a plus.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Heavy Lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, such as bricks, stones, mortar, and equipment, weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working on your feet for the duration of the shift, often on uneven, rugged or elevated surfaces.
  • Bending and Kneeling: Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching to handle materials, or assist in construction tasks at ground level or higher elevations.
  • Climbing: Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding to work on elevated surfaces, as required for tasks such as wall construction or working on high areas of buildings.
  • Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with small tools and materials, such as trowels and measuring instruments, while maintaining precision.
  • Endurance: Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or humidity, and the ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for long periods of time without significant fatigue.
  • Repetitive Motion: Comfort with repetitive tasks, such as mixing mortar, placing bricks, or using hand tools, that require consistency and focus over extended periods.
  • Balance and Coordination: Good balance and coordination to work safely at heights, on ladders, scaffolds, or uneven surfaces, and to avoid injuries.
  • Strength: Overall physical strength to manage demanding tasks such as lifting heavy blocks, carrying materials, and assisting Stucco/EIFS with large construction projects.
  • Vision and Attention to Detail: The ability to see fine details and distinguish various materials and tools, ensuring high-quality work and maintaining safety standards.
  • Environment: Ability to work in varied weather conditions
