Seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to build scalable cloud migration solutions for a leading Fortune 500 facilities services company. The Senior Data Engineer will develop and implement a migration solution from SQL Server to Snowflake through an Azure environment. You'll be responsible for ensuring accuracy, reliability, and automation of the process.
Responsibilities
- Development of SSIS packages supporting full and incremental loads.
- Configure ODBC connections for SQL Server and Snowflake.
- Implement error handling, logging, and retry logic.
- Schedule and automate package execution via SQL Server Agent.
- Perform automated and manual data validation.
- Document logic and contribute to architecture diagrams and flow charts.
- 7+ years of experience in ETL development.
- Strong SQL Server knowledge, including legacy versions.
- Strong SSIS development experience.
- Experience with Snowflake and ODBC connectivity.
- Experience and familiarity with Azure environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Experience with large-scale data migration projects.
- Knowledge of incremental load strategies.
- Certifications:
- Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification
- Microsoft Certified Data Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified Azure Data Fundamentals
