About the Role
The Master Control Operator supports all technical and operations workflows within Broadcast Operations, including the assembly and playout of live and non‑live networks.
This role is part of the Media Operations team, responsible for delivering a high‑quality viewing experience to millions of viewers across FOX networks, digital platforms, mobile applications, websites, and licensing partnerships.
Overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays are required as part of a regular schedule.

- Media Ingest, Assembly & Distribution
- Provides support for quality control, processing, assembly, playout, and distribution activities for pre‑programmed and live content.
- Plays a key role in the technical workflows to support distribution across linear and OTT delivery.
- Responsible for on‑air switching and running master control automation playlists in both multicast and live sports environments.
- Collaboration & Partnerships
- Supports Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams.
- Partners with Live Media and other Media Operations teams and helps in other areas as needed.
- Works closely with all business units and provides world‑class customer service support.

- Schedule
- Must be able to work various shifts, including overnights, weekends, holidays, etc. Overnight shifts are key to ensuring reliable broadcasts.
- Nice to Have, but Not a Dealbreaker
- Bachelor’s degree is appreciated but not required.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as 4K HDR, HDR10+, etc. is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as AMWA and SMPTE is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay rate/range for this role is $28.75–$31.00 per hour, dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for union‑represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
