Purpose of Position
In compliance with FERPA, federal and state regulations, provide student data reports to external agencies. Manage primary registrar system functions which includes maintaining all of the university degree audits. Assist with the development, maintenance and testing of new and/or improved functionality
Primary Responsibilities
Degree Audit
Creates and maintains all university degree audits in SAP. Works closely with department chairs, deans and Registrar systems line to create new audits and update existing audits as curricular changes are approved. Responsible for system updates for the academic calendar, academic structure, advising holds, and booking windows.
Data Reporting
Collaborates with IT staff to create and/or edit Registrar reports out of the Business Warehouse and/or SAP. Processes open records requests and updates enrollment and graduation data files to the National Student Clearinghouse. Assists with grading (final, midterm), removing change locks, work-flow troubleshooting and end-of-semester grades, progression and academic standing
Data Quality
Processes and updates data identified on the registrar edit reports. Participates in all data quality meetings related to student data. Assists other registrar staff with auditing converted student records, troubleshoots system and converted records issues and repairing records, especially records with converted transfer data. Manages the office master process calendar
Technical Development and Support:
Assists IT staff with writing specifications/requests for new programs, reports and/or enhanced services along with testing new functionality. Services as secondary contact for SLCM security processing. Assists with creating and documenting of ad hoc reports.
Qualifications
Technical degree in business informatics or computer science
Microsoft Office/Excel expertise required
Experience with SAP/SLCM or Workday preferred, Degree Audit, Crystal Reports.
