Project Manager

Salem, OR – Hybrid – Only Locals

5 months contract

We are seeking candidates who do not require visa sponsorship and are eligible to work on a W2. Program will only accept LOCAL ONLY candidates for this position. The role will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) required to be onsite.

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in project management
  • PMP certification (required) or equivalent project management certification; Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or lead a team to get the job done.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in managing projects with implementations across large organizations; developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts, devise solutions to complex problems, and prepare concise reports.
  • Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and facilitating the SDLC process.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders; excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Capability to appropriately summarize and elevate issues, develop and present weekly status updates, and conduct regular project team meetings.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodology, tracking development progress, ensuring project assignments align with timelines.
  • Agile experience managing feature‑driven sprints.
  • Experience leading and driving multi‑million dollar software and IT projects.
  • Preferred: Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for one or more State of Texas Agencies.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in healthcare or public health.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, budget, and oversee project execution.
  • Document all project aspects and maintain project artifacts.
  • Manage risks, issues, and contingency plans.
  • Provide regular status updates and conduct team meetings.
  • Ensure alignment of project tasks with overall timelines.
