Summary

Retail Supervisor must function as part of the management team, providing the first level of supervision for the culinary and food service assistant personnel. The retail supervisor will execute the following production areas: Retail food production, staff supervision, cooking to quality standards, and sanitation. Supervisor must also be able to follow cash handling procedures, invoicing, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as assigned. This leader will demonstrate constructive, positive, professional behavior at all times. Major emphasis is on the culinary areas and sanitation with secondary duties in other department areas.

Responsibilities

ServSafe certification required—willing to obtain within first six months of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Meditech (if applicable), Epic (if applicable), Performance Manager/NetLearning.
  • Must read, write, speak English.
  • Work independently and make independent decisions when warranted.
  • Communicate tactfully with staff, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Be flexible, exhibit personal integrity, and work effectively as a team.
  • Follow written and oral instructions.
  • Skills in ordering, scheduling, P&L.

Other Requirements: accurate typing 30 WPM.

Requirements
  • Education and work experience: High school diploma or GED (preferred culinary degree).
  • 3 years of direct supervision experience in a kitchen.
  • Prior high volume food service and people management skills.
  • ServSafe certification required—willing to obtain within first six months of employment.
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Meditech (if applicable), Epic (if applicable), Performance Manager/NetLearning.
  • Language: read/write/speak English.
  • Independent work, decision making.

Salary Information

USD $20.32/Hr. – USD $33.53/Hr.

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
