Founded in 2008, YES Communities is a privately held Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in the manufactured housing industry.
We are seeking enthusiastic and driven interns to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team for Summer 2026, supporting key Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives across the company. As a BI intern, you will play a key role in supporting critical data and reporting initiatives while gaining hands‑on experience in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
Over the course of the internship, you will collaborate with our team to gain exposure to our award‑winning operating platform and develop a comprehensive understanding of our data visualization tools, data warehouse framework, and other key areas of the business we support.
What You’ll Do- Work with large datasets to streamline and optimize reporting processes.
- Develop and maintain BI dashboards in Incorta to visualize key metrics and support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Validate and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data integrity and optimize performance.
- Support data cleaning, merging, and quality control processes.
- Document business processes, data workflows, and dataset structures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on company initiatives.
- Use SQL to retrieve, structure, and analyze data for ad‑hoc reporting requests.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Preference for candidates graduating by Spring 2025.
- Ability to work full‑time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 10 weeks in our Denver office.
- Availability to start by June 2026.
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with at least one of the following technologies: Python, R, Microsoft Power Platform, or Azure (preferred).
- Experience with BI dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Incorta, Looker, or similar (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights.
- Self‑starter with a demonstrated passion for learning and applying new technologies.
- Familiarity with database modeling and/or best practices for database management (preferred).
This internship opportunity may also serve as a pathway to a full‑time position within YES Communities.
