Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The server assistant is responsible for assisting the hosts and servers and are an integral part of a restaurant’s staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary
- Take guest orders by writing them down or memorizing them
- Clear or reset table at the end of each guest visit
- Wrapping utensils in napkins accordingly.
- Clearing dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables as required.
- Preparing tables for arriving guest by wiping up spills, clearing away crumbs, replacing soiled linen, and setting up tableware, napkins, and condiments.
- Delivering food to tables when Servers are busy.
- Arranging tables and chairs to accommodate larger groups of patrons.
- Ensuring that the server station is adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
- Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.
- Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop and carry
- Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and guest traffic.
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
