The Plumbing Project Coordinator assists project managers with assigned jobs by planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the preparations and execution of projects while meeting cost, quality, equipment utilization, and safety objectives.
Principal Accountabilities- Assists in all aspects of project management including the preparation of project estimates, procuring materials, creating product shop drawings, issuing subcontracts, attending pre‑bid and other project progress meetings.
- Assists with planning and coordination of manpower, equipment, tools and supply needs.
- Assists in establishing project objectives, costs, timelines, budgets, policies, performance expectations and safety standards; monitors adherence through site visits, progress reports, performance evaluations, safety meetings, and close collaboration with field crew supervision.
- Monitors and assesses maintenance and safeguarding of equipment, tools and supplies.
- Manages administrative aspects of contracts (change orders, fee payments, rental equipment, billing, and expenses) in coordination with administrative staff, designers, project managers, shop and field staff.
- Assists in the release of completed projects to client satisfaction and resolves any job closeout items.
- Responsible for saving and filing appropriate job information, including plans, specifications and job‑related communications, for permanent archives.
- Performs additional assignments as requested by management.
- Minimum 2‑year technical education in engineering, construction management coursework, or completion of an apprenticeship in a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of prior experience on construction industry projects is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable leading and guiding teams involved in company projects.
- Comfortable tracking and maintaining a wide range of project budgets.
- Works in a normal office environment; regular sitting and computer use with repetitive typing; light bending, twisting, and occasional lifting.
- Works on field construction sites in various weather conditions to survey site conditions and resolve coordination issues with trades.
- Requires ability to climb up and down ladders and steps on site, with or without reasonable accommodation.
