Data Engineer — Juno Beach, FL • Long Term Contract
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our HRIT & Corporate Services IT team. This role is critical in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ensuring high-quality, governed data to support analytics, automation, and AI-driven initiatives. You will work across enterprise HR and corporate systems, leveraging Google Cloud Platform to enable data-driven decision-making and support next-generation AI capabilities.
Responsibilities- Data Engineering & Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub); build batch and near real-time data ingestion frameworks; ensure data pipeline reliability, monitoring, and automated alerting.
- Data Modeling & Semantic Layer: Develop dimensional data models and data marts for analytics and reporting; define and maintain consistent data definitions across HR and enterprise systems; resolve data inconsistencies across multiple source systems.
- AI & Data Enablement: Prepare structured datasets for AI/ML use cases including RAG and LLM grounding; collaborate with AI/ML teams to support Vertex AI and enterprise AI initiatives; enable automation use cases with clean, contextual data.
- Data Quality & Governance: Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring frameworks; maintain data lineage, documentation, and governance standards; ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Analytics & Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions; build curated datasets for self-service analytics (BigQuery, Looker).
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Integration
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery preferred) or AWS/Azure
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools (Apache Beam, Dataflow, dbt, or similar)
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and flat files
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
- Experience working with enterprise systems such as SAP SuccessFactors; ServiceNow (HRSD); SAP S/4HANA
- Ability to collaborate with business and functional teams
- Experience with dbt for data transformation
- Knowledge of SAP CPI or integration platforms
- Exposure to AI/ML data preparation, RAG, or LLM-based solutions
- Experience in regulated industries (Finance, Healthcare, Energy)
- Google Cloud Data Engineer Certification (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
