SEC Energy is looking for a parts buyer/sales coordinator who will support the Fairfield, Texas region. The ideal candidate will serve as a frontline inside sales representative with added buying and warehouse responsibilities for our midstream compression packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Processes emergency/routine parts orders for the tech service field team
  • Processes internal/external customer parts quotes and orders
  • Creates purchase orders based upon parts needs and submits to appropriate vendors
  • Suggest parts recommendations to external customers
  • Perform warehouse functions such as shipping/receiving, validating orders to ensure delivery accuracy
  • Delivering and picking up parts from vendors and customers as needed (Pull truck is available during work hours)
  • Maintains appropriate inventory records
  • Expedites critical parts when needed
  • Processes vendor return authorizations for damaged and poor quality products
  • Makes inventory corrections, adjustments and price changes
  • Maintain and track all core returns to vendors for credits
  • Assists in bi-annual parts physical inventory counts
  • Communicate and follow up with various vendors/customers for order updates
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • A.A. Degree preferred not required
  • 0 - 2 years minimum in the field or in a related area
  • Communication and customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Knowledge with Ariel compressors and Caterpillar/Waukesha engines is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel and Access, Word, Microsoft Office and any other required software that is used
  • Ability to calculate figure amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math
  • Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations that may not be addressed by existing policies, procedures or protocols. Decisions include such matters as changes of policies and regulations, order in which work is done, and application of established procedures
Working Conditions
  • Work within office, warehouse and shop, and field environments
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
  • Travel, when required
  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
