Job Description

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Hospital Distribution Technician is vital. You will support Vitalant’s life‑saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. Whether you are just starting your career, or new to the blood banking industry, we’re here to train, mentor and help you grow.

What to Expect

Schedule: SUNDAY - THURSDAY 5:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Starting Pay: $16.45 – $17.15 based on experience + 9% Shift Differential

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
  • Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
  • Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
  • Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment, and vehicle work areas.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Valid in‑state driver’s license
  • Six months of customer service experience required
  • Prior healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Able to lift 40 lbs
