Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an Accounting Specialist, based in the Cape May, NJ. It’s very hands-on and cash-focused, not a desk-only accounting role. Pay is $19–20/hour while temp, Hours are: 8-4p
Someone comfortable handling large volumes of cash; counting drops, balancing banks, reconciling EOD reports, and prepping deposits
Strong attention to detail and accountability, especially when investigating discrepancies
Solid Excel skills and comfort with a 10-key
Basic accounting knowledge: AP experience is a plus, especially during the off season
Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel finance environment and juggle multiple priorities
Reliable transportation – they’ll need to move around during the day
Physically able to handle coin/cash bags (up to 25 lbs)
Hotel, hospitality, casino, vault, or retail cash-handling backgrounds could translate nicely here. Experience with systems like M3, Aloha, Clover, or Maestro is a plus, but not a deal-breaker.
