Summary

Develops embedded software, tools, and test automation for vehicle controller systems, supporting architecture, integration, validation, and workflow improvement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform embedded systems engineering tasks including requirements analysis, operational concept development, software system design and architecture, component integration, design reviews, and controller integration testing
  • Develop features in C for an internal embedded operating system used on vehicle controllers
  • Develop software tools and scripts in C# to improve embedded software development efficiency and user workflows
  • Create automated tests and test frameworks using Python
  • Lead innovation efforts for next-generation tools and workflows used by the embedded development community
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide daily user support
  • Analyze technical issues and drive root cause resolution
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in embedded software development using C and C++
  • Experience with object-oriented software design
  • Expertise in C#
  • Understanding of the embedded software development lifecycle from requirements through machine validation
  • Experience with requirements analysis, software design and architecture, component integration, design reviews, and controller integration testing
  • Experience analyzing issues and driving root cause resolution
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with GNU Make
  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Knowledge of CAN communication protocols, including automotive Ethernet, J1939, and ISO 14229
  • Experience related to design and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems
  • Experience developing low-level and middleware drivers for hardware peripherals
  • Experience with AUTOSAR
  • Experience with proprietary embedded operating systems
