This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire opportunity and will require a hybrid onsite schedule (approximately three days per week) in the Birmingham, AL area. Relocation assistance and future visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate upon conversion.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Contribute within a structured QA organization supporting large-scale enterprise applications in an Agile delivery environment.
- Create and maintain formal test plans, test cases, and testing documentation aligned with release schedules.
- Execute manual and automated test cases, determining which scenarios are best suited for automation.
- Build, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks using Tricentis Tosca and Selenium (Java).
- Perform functional and API testing across modern application stacks, collaborating with development and QA teams.
- Track, manage, and report defects using standard QA tools, providing clear test status updates to project and program leadership.
- Work independently to make day?to?day testing decisions while actively participating in Agile ceremonies and cross?functional meetings.
- 2+ years of recent hands-on QA automation experience, including strong, recent experience with Tricentis Tosca (beyond POCs or exposure-level use).
- Experience designing and executing automated tests using Selenium (Java) and performing API testing (Postman or similar tools).
- Proven background working in a formal QA / QMO environment, including defect tracking, reporting, and adherence to QA processes.
- Ability to independently prepare test plans and documentation; test lead exposure is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with modern application environments (e.g., Java-based systems, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines).
- Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor 46;s degree required; QA certifications (such as ASTQB?CTFL) are a plus or willingness to obtain.
