Responsibilities
  • Assure equipment is set up appropriately for the scheduled production size or mix, change as necessary to support fulfillment of the production schedule. This involves attention to detail/ability to focus, standing, walking, using hands and arms to reach, working near or with potentially moving mechanical parts, and other requirements as necessary.
  • Perform equipment audits at scheduled intervals and when performance dictates, recording results (typically in Infinity data base). This involves attention to detail/ability to focus and look at computer screens, literacy, and basic typing skills.
  • Respond appropriately to audit results and Infinity alarms with machine adjustments, report adjustments or changes to satisfy alarm criteria .
  • Assist with the necessary repairs of equipment, property and the building.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines as needed or assigned (some of this work will occur on weekends). This requires working with machinery/moving mechanical parts .
  • Maintain open communication between production shifts and maintenance, this may include shift overlap and/or written documentation such as log books.
  • To perform this job successfully, applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Qualifications
  • Preference given to those with demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills
  • Two years’ experience in maintenance field preferred
  • Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Demonstrated ability to do basic math skills including Addition, Subtraction, division and multiplicat ion and percentage calculations.
  • Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. Lots of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling or crouching, reaching with hands and arms and smelling.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as weekends.
