Overview
This is a permanent PART-TIME role. ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store).
What does a Retail Scan Associate do?- Perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores.
- Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store.
- Complete Display Scanning on the entire store on a weekly basis; this can take several hours to finish.
- Respond to client requests for more specific product details in main stocking locations through Custom Projects, which occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store.
- Adhere to weekly deadlines; dependability and quality-driven action are required in exchange for independence in the workplace and flexible scheduling.
- Visit designated stores each week and scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps.
- Collect and record data to support client goals and reporting.
- Route information includes multiple locations such as Drug, Grocery, and Convenience stores with available workdays varying by location.
- Locations example: Covington, IN; Tilton, IL; Oakwood, IL. Available workdays vary by store:
- Drug – Covington, IN 47932: Sunday, Monday or Tuesday
- Grocery – Tilton, IL 61833: Wednesday or Thursday
- Convenience – Oakwood, IL 61858: Monday thru Friday
- At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
- Ability to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach up to 6 feet, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Deadline-driven self-starter.
- Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi and be tech savvy.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Competitive compensation ($16/hr).
- Flexibility in working hours, tailored to accommodate personal scheduling needs and client requirements.
- Paid travel at hourly rate (minus first and last 15 minutes).
